Contrail terreur

Bombing Iran on US-Israel agendas,
but nobody has right to allow this
The U.S. and Israel will resort to
attacking Iran over its nuclear programme if pressed hard enough. That's according to the
Chief of the General Staff of Russia's Armed Forces. Speaking at a press-conference, he
said such hard measures would be devastating for regional and international stability, and
cannot be allowed.

his country will not back down in the face of possible UN sanctions. Iran has unveiled
third generation centrifuges capable of faster enrichment. President Ahmadinejad committed
these developments to the nuclear programme just a day after UN ambassadors of six world
powers met to discuss further penalties against the country.

Is the CIA Assassination Order of a
U.S. Citizen Legal?
U.S. officials have confirmed a Yemen-based
Muslim cleric has become the first US citizen added to a CIA list of targets for capture
or killing. Anwar al-Awlaki is a US-born cleric accused of having ties to the failed
Christmas Day airline bombing and the shooting at Fort Hood. Many legal experts have
questioned the legality of the assassination order under U.S. and international law. We
speak with Philip Alston, the United Nations Special Rapporteur on Extrajudicial, Summary
and Arbitrary Executions.

It's thought a single pillow killed a Hamas
operative in Dubai this January. Yet this astonishing spy story involved 27 secret agents,
some pilfered European passports and countless security cameras. On January the 19th, an
unremarkable parade of foreigners passed through Dubais cosmopolitan airport, strode from
one CCTV camera to another, and then assassinated Palestinian resistance fighter Mahmoud
Mabhouh in his hotel room. For Mossad - the Israeli Intelligence agency thought to be
behind it all the operation was a success. Yet the maelstrom of ugly consequences for the
agency, Israel, and the hapless citizens whose passport details were used, have left many
baffled. To describe this as anything other than a fiasco, I dont see how you can do it,
says former CIA agent, Robert Baer, why would you sacrifice 27 people?. Israels
iron-fisted approach is embedded in its history as a state, constantly defending its
survival. There is some speculation that Israelis with dual citizenship may even have
agreed for their passport details to be used. The Israelis want to seem to be
invulnerable, says Baer, you kill us we kill you - we dont get caught, and theres no
international condemnation. Whether or not the killers are to be called to account, a
death squad has had its cover blown and a legendary spy agency has been all but outed.

NATO night raids; civilian
casualties
NATO now admits that it was responsible for
the deaths of three Afghan women during a night raid in Kabul on February 12, 2010. What
Afghan officials have called a cover-up, NATO officials are saying was a mistake by its
International forces. Jerome Starkey said that the families of the dead civilians told him
they felt that their dead bodies had been violated and the troops dug the bullets out of
them.
WikiLeaks VIDEO Exposes 2007
'Collateral Murder' In Iraq
WikiLeaks has released a classified US
military video depicting the indiscriminate slaying of over a dozen people in the Iraqi
suburb of New Baghdad -- including two Reuters news staff.
Reuters has been trying to obtain the video
through the Freedom of Information Act, without success since the time of the attack. The
video, shot from an Apache helicopter gun-site, clearly shows the unprovoked slaying of a
wounded Reuters employee and his rescuers. Two young children involved in the rescue were
also seriously wounded. The military did not reveal how the Reuters staff were killed, and
stated that they did not know how the children were injured.
After demands by Reuters, the incident was
investigated and the U.S. military concluded that the actions of the soldiers were in
accordance with the law of armed conflict and its own "Rules of Engagement".
Consequently, WikiLeaks has released the classified Rules of Engagement for 2006, 2007 and
2008, revealing these rules before, during, and after the killings.
WikiLeaks has released both the original 38
minutes video and a shorter version with an initial analysis. Subtitles have been added to
both versions from the radio transmissions. WikiLeaks obtained this video as well as
supporting documents from a number of military whistleblowers. WikiLeaks goes to great
lengths to verify the authenticity of the information it receives. We have analyzed the
information about this incident from a variety of source material. We have spoken to
witnesses and journalists directly involved in the incident.
WikiLeaks wants to ensure that all the
leaked information it receives gets the attention it deserves. In this particular case,
some of the people killed were journalists that were simply doing their jobs: putting
their lives at risk in order to report on war. Iraq is a very dangerous place for
journalists: from 2003- 2009, 139 journalists were killed while doing their work.

Machtsgreep Obama vrijwel identiek
